In the largest funding round of the EIC Accelerator to date, a total of 99 innovative start-ups as well as SMEs from 21 countries received the coveted funding as of the October deadline. The funding amounted to 627 million euros. Among those funded is CO2BioClean, a company advised by DORUCON.
It was able to prevail among the large competition with its groundbreaking technology and thus received not only a funding sum of 2.2 million but also equity capital of 4.4 million euros.
Overview of facts and figures
Since the launch of the funding program in March 2021, around 4,000 companies have submitted their ideas to the EIC. As of the October deadline alone, 1,098 of these were invited to the second step and were thus able to submit a comprehensive full proposal. Nine full proposals were submitted by DORUCON at the 2nd deadline, two of which were invited to the pitch interview, the third round. Among the 99 approved funding applications, 12 percent are from Germany. In addition, for the first time, 19 percent of the funded companies in this funding round include female CEOs.

What is funded?

The funding amount is awarded in the form of non-repayable grants and is up to 2.5 million euros. In addition, there is the option of blended financing, which means that up to 15 million euros in equity can be disbursed.
